Ax̩ Capoeira Afro-Brazilian Block Party in Downtown Vancouver РJuly 28 & 29, 2012

This summer you’ll see Granville Street come to life with the energy of Brazil, as Axé Capoeira hosts its 30th Anniversary celebration event, the Afro-Brazilian Block Party.

Saturday, July 28th & Sunday, July 29th, 2012 the City of Vancouver and Axé Capoeira will host the second annual Afro-Brazilian Block Party. The contagious culture of Brazil will take over Granville Street as spectators experience traditional Brazilian music and dances, colourful costumes, and the exciting athleticism and acrobatics that Vancouverites have come to expect from Axé Capoeira. This year will also showcase a capoeira competition, where some of the best capoeira practitioners from around the world will showcase their talents. Spectators will be invited to dance and participate during the day and be wowed as the event culminates with an amazing nal performance and Brazilian celebration!
