2016 Lincoln MKX Savour the City at Boulevard
For 2016, the Lincoln MKX gets a significant redesign with a bold look, new engine and more luxury features. I recently took Lincoln’s newest crossover for a spin around the Sutton Place Hotel. Our test vehicle, the Reserve package, was equipped with a 2.7L twin turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine, 22 way adjustable heated and cooled leather seats, wood trim, panoramic vista roof, Revel audio system, adaptive LED headlights & 360 degree camera.
Under the hood, the 2.7 litre twin turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine delivers over 330 horsepower and more than 370 lb. ft. of torque. The engine is paired with a six speed automatic transmission.
The MKX is also equipped with Lincoln Drive Control which optimize your driving experience with 3 modes: normal, sport and comfort. I preferred the comfort mode for a smooth and quite ride around the city.
The 360 degree camera is one of coolest feature. The cameras in the front, rear and side merged together to provide you with a seamless bird’s eye view up to 7 feet all around the vehicle. It will help you see around the corners and blind spots. It’s very handy parking into a tight spot.
The MKX is also available with Enhanced Active Park Assist. The ultrasonic sensors locate an available spot and automatically steer the vehicle into place. While the Perpendicular Park Assist helps you guide the vehicle into perpendicular spots in reverse.
The front camera is located behind the Lincoln Star badge between the two front grilles. The badge moves out and tilts up to reveal the camera.
In collaboration with Harman, the MKX is the first Lincoln model to receive Revel premium sound systems. The 13 speakers and a high-efficiency 12-channel Class-D amplifier are standard for the MKX Select and MKX Reserve package. While, the 19 speakers plus Clari-Fi premium audio system with QuantumLogic surround sound are optional for the MKX Reserve and standard for the MKX Black Label.

BLVD Salad – shaved vegetable crudites, sherry mustard vinaigrette
Fire Roasted Tomato Bisque – cornbread crouton, basil
Wild Salmon – glazed young vegetables, sweet garlic basil emulsion
Chocolate Torte – cocoa sponge, mousse, vanilla ice cream
Strawberry Shortcake – strawberry, genoise, lime sorbet
