10th Annual Taste of Yaletown – October 16 – 30, 2014
The Yaletown Business Improvement Association (YBIA) is proud to announce the annual Taste of Yaletown (TOY) event will run from October 16 – 30th, 2014, featuring 25 Yaletown restaurants. Running for 10 consecutive years, this year’s milestone event will focus on bringing together the innovative talents of chefs and the culinary treasures of the best dining district in Vancouver. The popular dining event will offer any number of menu combinations at set prices of $25, $35, and $45 for both the lunchtime and dinnertime scenes.
“So much has changed in Yaletown over the years, but the one thing that has remained unwavering is the continual support and strength of the community that has made the neighbourhood thrive over the years, and what has made Taste of Yaletown one of the most popular dining events in Vancouver†states Annette O’Shea Executive Director of the YBIA.
“Looking back over the years, the Yaletown neighbourhood has been ever-changing and has grown to become the dining hub to some of the best restaurants in Vancouver. Every year we are more and more impressed with the culinary talents of the local chefs, and this year will be no exception†adds O’Shea.
Chefs and restaurateurs will have the freedom to serve up any combination of items or courses at fixed menu prices of $25, $35, and $45, meaning the public will receive something truly unique and carefully selected at each restaurant. This year, menus will not be limited by number of courses and can include beverage pairings inside of the set prices as well.
“Yaletown is home to some of the city’s best chefs, many of whom see Taste of Yaletown as a time to showcase their creativity. This is the second year of increased freedom for chefs, and we expect to see incredible growth in the diversity of the menus set forth. The public will have so many new and delicious options to discover over the two weeks in October†explains O’Shea.
For the 10th consecutive year, participating restaurants will be donating a portion of their profits from the Taste of Yaletown event in support of longtime charity partner, The Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
