Grouse Grind: Grind For Kids

Grind For Kids is a new event that leverages the enthusiasm of the thousands of people in the Lower Mainland that do the Grouse Grindâ„¢ on a regular basis. People sign up and ask friends, family and co-workers pledge $1 or more for every Grouse Grind they do between June and October. At the end of the season participants will share their success with the people who have pledged them and request they fulfill their pledges.

A family event for all ages, the UBC Apple Festival celebrates one of British Columbia’s favourite fruits. All are welcome to attend, from children learning about the diversity of apples to those who remember tasting heritage apples in their youth.

Come celebrate berry history at the 15th Annual Fort Langley Cranberry Festival on Saturday, October 9th. The fun starts at 9 am with a pancake breakfast and continues right through the day with activities for the whole family. West Coast Chocolate Festival

West Coast Chocolate Festival – October 15 to November 10, 2010

First launched in 2002, the West Coast Chocolate Festival is a unique and innovative collection of individual high calibre chocolate-themed adult and all-ages events that occurred throughout the Tri-Cities area of Coquitlam, Port Moody and Port Coquitlam. In 2009, the festival expanded to Burnaby and Vancouver, then expanding across the Lower Mainland in 2010.
