Now in its third year, this elevated oasis on the 17th floor’s Aqua Lounge and JW Garden is truly something to see. Imagine sweeping inlet views, the city skyline stretching out before you, and a vibrant, garden-inspired setting. It’s the kind of place where you can sip, savour, and truly feel like you’ve escaped the everyday. Plus, for the first time, this popular spot is now open to the public, not just hotel guests, making it even more accessible for a summer treat.

What makes Le Picnic so special? It starts with the menu, thoughtfully put together by the hotel’s new Executive Chef, Colin Burslem. Chef Burslem, a Vancouver native with deep roots in the culinary world, brings nearly 23 years of experience and a genuine passion for sustainable practices and local connections to the table. He’s crafted a picnic-perfect spread that celebrates summer’s essence, highlighting seasonal ingredients, some even sourced directly from the JW Garden and honey from their resident bees.

You’ll find delightful bites like the Le Picnic Charcuterie Board, a fresh Burrata & Garden Tomato Salad, and even Champagne Poached Prawns. For something a little heartier, the Sticky Maple Pork Belly or the Le Picnic Crispy Chicken Sandwich with JW Truffle Comté Frites are both delicious choices. And for a sweet finish, don’t forget to try the JW Éclairs or their house-made ice cream sandwich.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Le Picnic without the bubbles. You can enjoy chilled Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Brut Rosé, alongside creative champagne-infused garden cocktails. Imagine sipping a refreshing JW French 75 with calamansi purée, a sweet and fruity JW Sparkle with strawberry purée, or a classic Bellini with peach purée and passionfruit pearls.

Adding to the ambiance, live music sets a lovely weekend vibe every Friday and Saturday from 3 to 7 PM. Le Picnic in the JW Garden is open daily from 12 to 8 PM, now through August 30.
