BC First Time New Home Buyers’ Bonus is slated to end. Help extend it!

On March 31, 2013, the BC First-Time New Home Buyers’ Bonus is scheduled to end.

This program provides a one-time grant of up to $10,000 to first-time home buyers equal to 5% of the purchase price of the home, or if the home buyer is building a home, 5% of the land and construction costs. The bonus is based on the net income of the home buyer.

This important program helps first-time buyers get into the market.

Please let BC’s Finance Minister know how important this program is.

Each residential sale in BC generates $42,000 in economic activity and for every 100 residential properties that sell 28 much-needed jobs are created – generating important economic activity in our neighbourhoods.
