Mogo: Don’t Get Screwed by the Banks This Holiday Season

Mogo Don't Get Screwed by the Banks This Holiday Season

Mogo, Canada’s financial brand for the next generation of digitally-minded consumers, is giving away 60,000 condoms this month to remind Canadians not to get screwed by the banks during this holiday season.

Complimentary condoms imprinted with the message “Don’t Get Screwed” will be given out by Mogo elves at various public hot spots in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver starting December 21st up until the evening of December 24th. (Follow @MogoMoney for tweet tips on exact locations.)

Condoms will also be available in holiday “candy-style” serving bowls at Mogo’s eight retail showroom locations across Canada. See locations.

“Tis the season when we like to get a little loose and have fun but when it comes to holiday spending don’t get screwed by the aftershock of credit card debt,” said Chantel Chapman, Financial Fitness Coach and spokesperson for Mogo. “Instead, be more mindful with your overspending and if your December happens to turn into ‘Debtcember’ consider a debt exit strategy to pay off your high interest rate credit cards like Mogo’s personal loan MogoLiquid. Mogo helps you play it smart and safe with your finances AND under the mistletoe so we figured that condoms were the perfect reminder of that.”
