One of Metro Vancouver’s biggest Christmas trees will be lit at McArthurGlen Vancouver to celebrate the start of the holiday season this coming November 23rd. Known as one of the must-see destinations for Christmas lights, McArthurGlen will be fully decked out in festive decor featuring 12 life-sized Nutcrackers and twinkling lights. New this year, a giant ornament installation and ornament selfie wall complete with over 1,300 baubles will be on display, creating great photo opportunities to start the holidays. The free and public event will also feature various family-friendly activities such as a ‘Dear Santa’ letter writing station, holiday crafts, live music from a Toy Soldier band and a visit by a special guest from the North Pole.

For those looking to start their holiday shopping early, select brands from the centre will offer a sneak peek of their Black Friday deals a day early on Thursday, November 23rd. Key participating brands include Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, Club Monaco, Levis, UGG, and more.

On Black Friday morning, lineups are anticipated to start as early as 6:00 a.m. and shoppers can expect door-crashing sales as the centre opens two hours early at 8:00 a.m. A short 3-minute walk from Templeton Station, guests are encouraged to take the Canada Line to the centre to avoid traffic over the Black Friday weekend.

“Holiday spirit is always high at McArthurGlen Vancouver and we’re excited to bring back our favourite annual event to the centre,” says Robert Thurlow, General Manager of McArthurGlen Vancouver. “Our main goal is to provide an excellent shopping and entertainment experience at the centre year round – we hope this event will bring a fun, festive start to our guests’ holiday season.”

All festivities for the evening will be available free of charge for guests of the centre and the general public.
