New Balance MADE 1978 sneaker review


New Balance brand new MADE silhouette is inspired by the iconic New Balance 990. Back in 1978, the New Balance 990 took four years of development when it was released in 1982. It was the pinnacle of technology, quality materials and performance design. New Balance MADE 1978 is a modern interpretation of the original 990 concept which a focus on modern silhouettes and manufacturing methods. The sleek MADE sneakers are expertly crafted in New Balance’s Norridgewock, Maine factory.

The Made in the USA sneakers are constructed with three piece suede and leather upper with perforated details on the toe box and N logo, a reflective underlay on the N logo and a deconstructed leather collar. It also featured a brand new one-piece injection Vibram sole which is lighter and more durable compared to other IMEVA soles. The Vibram sole unit is manufactured at the New Balance Brighton manufacturing facility.
