Canada Goose Opens Third Canadian Store in Vancouver

Canada Goose opens its Vancouver flagship store on Friday, November 2, bringing its expertise in weightless warmth, premium knitwear and cold weather apparel to the city’s leading luxury shopping destination, the CF Pacific Centre.

The 3,900 square-foot store features a deep assortment of Canada Goose products, including more than two hundred styles and colourways, premium accessories and youth, kids and baby styles. The product assortment also includes rainwear, knitwear and lightweight down jackets designed to thrive in the unpredictable weather native to Vancouver. Limited-edition collaboration pieces and retail-only exclusives also feature as part of the extensive inventory.

The Vancouver flagship includes a curated selection of works by artists who share the brands origins and ethos, rooted in the Canadian North. Many of the prints, drawings and sculptures showcased throughout the store are from artists native to Cape Dorset; known as the Capital of Inuit Art. Their work is a tribute to Canada’s Northern communities, whose long history of quality craftsmanship has informed and inspired Canada Goose’s own parka designs.

Near the cash desk striking graphic works from Pitaloosie Saila and Shuvinai Ashoona depict strong, nurturing Inuit women and northern landscapes. Accent pieces like polar bear sculptures crafted from serpentinite, a stone from the Cape Dorset area, are a nod to the brand’s longstanding relationship with Polar Bears International. All artwork featured in the store is sourced in partnership with art curator Natalie MacNamara of NAMARA.

Materials sourced in British Columbia are also prominent in the Vancouver flagship. The cash desk is carved from a single piece of marble sourced from a quarry on Vancouver Island. Weighing more than 2,700 pounds, the rock has been left raw, with minimal polish to evoke the natural wear of glaciers and icebergs.

This flagship is Canada Goose’s third store in Canada, and ninth store globally, along with locations in Toronto, New York, Chicago, Tokyo, London and Boston. This year the brand has already opened stores in New Jersey and Hong Kong. Canada Goose is also slated to open stores in Montreal and Beijing later this year.
