Vancouver TheatreSports League Presents The Superhero Show

Vancouver TheatreSports League Presents The Superhero Show

Vancouver TheatreSports™ League (VTSL) leaps into a fresh season of laughs with The Superhero Show, debuting Thursday, October 2. Featuring action, adventure and plenty of comedy, the talented VTSL team will create an entirely improvised superhero story each night based on helpful and humorous suggestions from the audience.

The format for The Superhero Show was created by Michael Teigen, a VTSL mainstage performer with more than 15 years’ experience with the company. The new show will showcase an ensemble cast led by a narrator who will help guide the storyline. Each show’s superhero will possess special powers and a secret identity based on audience input. Of course, no superhero story would be complete without a dastardly nemesis who will attempt to foil the superhero at every turn. Throughout the course of the show, the superhero will reveal the origin of his or her superpowers along with their secret identity life and come face-to-face with the evil nemesis. Witness bravery, heroism and razor-sharp wit unfold anew each night.

“Who doesn’t like to leap tall buildings in a single bound?” says VTSL Artistic Director, Denise Jones. “Our cast is so excited for this show because, with superheroes, the possibilities are endless. It’s going to be super fun.”
