Tobias inspired live-tattooing spectacle hits the Museum of Vancouver - December 8, 2012

In a Vancouver first, the MOV will be transformed into a tattoo parlour, complete with an inking station, live DJ, and bar during open hours. A select number of visitors will have a chance to be inked with designs inspired by the work of Tobias Wong and others. The rest of us will watch the tattoo process live on the big screen.

This event is a collaboration between MOV and Chad Woodley/Sanitary Electric Tattoo.

Date: Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012

Time: Noon–5:00pm

Cost: Included with general admission (MOV Members, free)

Cash Bar and light refreshments will be available.

Holiday bonus: A Touch of Gold (aka the “goldification-station”)

Tobias Wong proved that almost every object of design can be improved upon. The same goes for holiday shopping. Guests can bring an toy or gift and add a touch of gold to it (anything from an old plastic Smurf toy to the back of your iPhone can be goldified!). Think of it as a gold tattoo for your stocking stuffers.
