Second annual tree lighting ceremony at CF Pacific Centre

CF Pacific Centre is once again getting ready to transform Vancouver’s downtown core in to a magical holiday wonderland with a spectacular tree lighting ceremony planned on Wednesday, November 22.

This year, the 40-foot-tall Christmas tree situated outside the centre’s rotunda off Georgia and Howe streets will serve as the backdrop for a memorable musical performance led by jubilant volunteer choir group, Choir!Choir!Choir! As the tree lights up, choir members along with guests, holiday revelers and passersby, will join together in harmony to sing festive songs. Choir! Choir! Choir! started as a drop-in singing event and has exploded into internationally recognized group that has performed on big stages such as Polaris Music Prize Gala, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Massey Hall, The Juno Awards – and most recently united thousands of Tragically hip fans in a tribute for Gord Downie at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto.

Guests are invited to commemorate the start of the holiday season by singing along and taking part in the official tree lighting tradition which has been expanded to five other Cadillac Fairview shopping centres across the country.
