Opportunities with the Pacific Alliance Trade Bloc to be a feature theme at Expoplaza Latina 2014
Organizers of ExpoPlaza Latina 2014 – Canada’s only business conference connecting theAmericas – are busy organizing what will be one of the major themes of the event – the business opportunities resulting from the recently established Pacific Alliance (Alianza del Pacífico). Canada is an observer nation and has free trade agreements with the member states of Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru. Discussion surrounding this topic will focus on how BC can leverage existing free-trade agreements to promote bilateral trade and investment opportunities with Alliance regions.
Due to demand, in its second year ExpoPlaza Latina has expanded. The business conference will happen April 30th, 2014 at the Fairmont Vancouver Waterfront.
The extended two-day ExpoPlaza Latina 2014 focuses on BC-Latin America investment, trade and partnership opportunities. In 2014 the event will focus on oil and gas, cleantech, mining and small business sectors. Topics include:
- The Pacific Alliance – Opportunities for Canada & Latin America
- Liquid Natural Gas – Opportunities in Latin America
- Mining – Medium Term Industry Outlook
- Oil & Gas – Opportunities in Brazil
- Cleantech – Incubators & Starts-ups
- Government – Contracting & Financing
One result of the 2013 ExpoPlaza Latina event is that the BC government is now establishing stronger relations with Mexico, Colombia and Brazil.
Expoplaza Latina leads into the Globe 2014 international forum on business and the environment happening in Vancouver April 30. ExpoPlaza Latina delegates can receive 20% off of Globe 2014 attendance, encouraging particularly those in Latin America to spend the week in Vancouver attending both business events.
