Natasha Jung’s Date of Birth & RichCity Idol Alumni Showcase - May 4, 2013

Normally turning another year older fills a woman with dread, but Natasha Jung has found a way to banish the birthday blues by using her special day as a way to raise funds for a worthy cause. On May 4th at the Portside Pub in downtown Vancouver, Jung will be celebrating her 26th birthday by hosting NJDOB – Natasha Jung’s Date of Birth and RichCity Idol Alumni Showcase benefiting the RichCity Idol Scholarship Fund. Tickets are available at: http://njdobrci10.eventbrite.com.

Partial proceeds from the event will be donated to the RichCity Idol Scholarship Fund, which provides high school students with financial support as they pursue further learning.

Jung, an active community leader and Richmond, BC resident, co founded RichCity Idol in 2004 when she was still in high school. RichCity Idol is a singing competition for high school students in Richmond, BC planned for students, by students. Its goal is to create an educational community that encourages collaboration between students and develops young leaders.

“2013 marks the 10th year of RichCity Idol,” says Jung. “NJDOB is my way of showcasing the amazing and talented individuals that have come out of this competition during the past decade. Some musicians that will be performing at NJDOB include Gio Levy, Jeff Laing, and Alyssia Lopez. Andrew “The Intern” Sosa of the Kid Carson Show on SONiC will also be co-hosting the event.”

In celebration of RichCity Idol’s 10th year anniversary, RichCity Idol and the Richmond Community Foundation have created the RichCity Idol Scholarship Fund. This endowment fund will support the awarding of scholarships to students demonstrating leadership and artistic potential.
