Contest! Holidays at McArthurGlen Vancouver
McArthurGlen Vancouver is kicking off the holiday season in style with an open invitation to the community for their very first Here Comes Christmas Event. On November 19th, the designer outlet centre will be transformed into a winter wonderland and the public will be welcomed for an evening of holiday festivities.
Guests are invited to witness the lighting of the massive 45-foot Christmas tree that will be switched on by Santa and his elves. The tree will be outfitted with 24,000 lights and 2,750 baubles, making it one of the tallest Christmas trees in the city. Vancouver’s Goh Ballet will take families on a magical journey with a 30-minute sneak peek of The Nutcracker as part of their very first outdoor performance and the Vancouver Peace Choir will serenade crowds singing their latest renditions of classic Christmas carols. Additionally, the Little Elves Workshop will be offering gingerbread men and Christmas cookie decorating for children. In keeping with the centre’s special food and beverage offering, Christmas-themed treats including peppermint and eggnog organic cotton candy, maple syrup taffy pops and mulled cider will also be available.
“We’re excited to bring some of our European traditions to Vancouver and to welcome the community into the centre for our very first holiday season,” says Robert Thurlow, General Manager of McArthurGlen Vancouver. “From new store openings, including Brooks Brothers and Columbia, to festive décor and fashionable pop-ups, there will be something for everyone to enjoy this holiday season at McArthurGlen Vancouver.”
Fashion enthusiasts are encouraged to visit the vintage pop-up shop, A.N.G.E.L.O. that has been brought over from Europe. This one-of-a-kind vintage boutique and exhibit features some of the world’s most sought after clothing and accessories from luxury brands including Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.
